CURRENT ROAD CLOSURES AS AT 9TH JUNE 2025

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U4057, RAVENGLASS AND C4025, HOLMROOK)  
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), 
Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic 
(i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along the following sections of 
road: 
1. U4057, Ravenglass from its junction with the A595, extending in a south westerly 
direction for its entire length. 
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists. 
Duration: From 2 June 2025 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTROC/14369) 
2. C4025, Holmrook from its junction with the A595 to its junction with the C4030. 
Alternative Route for Vehicles: via the C4030, C4026, Sella Brow, Smithy Lane, Buckman 
Brow, Dubdale Brow, John Bull Hill and the A595. 
There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians 
Duration: From 9 June 2025 for approx. 11 days (Ref: TTROC/14548)

The Order will come into operation on 2 June 2025 and may continue in force for a 
maximum duration of eighteen months.  However, please note that it is anticipated that the 
restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate 
traffic signs are displayed.
