Irton with Santon Parish Council seeks a new Councillor
Expressions of interest are welcome from anyone who is interested in this varied and rewarding role.
As a Councillor representing your community you will help keep it a great place to live and work.
Do you have a few hours you could spare each month?
Are you interested in making a difference as you work with and serve your local community?
This is an unpaid role, and to serve as a Parish Councillor you must be:
18 or over, a British citizen and have been a resident or worked within 3 miles of the Parish for the last year. You should have a positive outlook and a can-do attitude and be willing to work as part of a team. You should be comfortable working electronically
The Parish Council currently meets on the evening on the second Monday of each month usually for around 2 hours
ENTHUSIASM AND COMMITMENT ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN EXPERIENCE

You cannot stand for election if you:

are the subject of a bankruptcy restriction order or interim order

have, within five years before the day of the election, been convicted in the United Kingdom ofany offence and have had a prison sentence (whether suspended or not) for a period of over three months without the option of a fine

work for the council you want to become a councillor for
